End of the Year Test Preparation

In an effort to be proactive (Habit 1), here are a few websites that you might find useful in helping to prepare your child for both MAP and the SC Ready tests, which will take place in the next few months. While they are familiar with the MAP test, this will be the first year that your child takes the SC Ready test. You can view SC Ready sample tests using the link below and can see the specific testing days for each subject at Rice Creek. You will be receiving more information about these tests (including our MAP testing dates) as soon as we receive more information.

We started our new blended workshop on fractions. Students will be learning at their pace, blending technology with instruction. They will also get meaningful small group instruction, at their level, with the teacher. Fraction homework packets will be going home on Monday, Feb. 29 and are due back on Friday, March 18. Your child should work for 20- 30 minutes each night to work towards achieving this goal.

Headphones Needed!!

Due to the daily use of chromebooks in class, your child needs working headphones at school to use each day. If your child does not have headphones at school, please send some with them as soon as possible. It is very distracting when the students can hear the volume coming from their neighbors' computers. They also need these headphones to take to both Technology and Computer during the Related Arts rotation. Thank you so much!!
