Please make sure you are signing your child's homework agenda every night. Students keep track of daily behavior and homework in the agenda.
Daily Folders will come home daily with any important information. Thursday, students will bring home school communication (Boomerang) folders.
MAP Testing
Between September 1 and September 18 students in kindergarten through fifth grade will take tests called Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®). MAP tests are used to help determine your child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year, and from year to year in the areas of reading and math. These tests are computerized and untimed.
In order to get the most accurate measure of your child’s instructional level and to make sure that teachers have the information they need to provide a quality education for our students, we need your help. Please ensure that your child:
· gets a good night’s sleep
· eats a nutritious breakfast
· has a pleasant start to the day
· is present and on time on testing days.
3rd Grade will be taking the Math MAP test on Friday, September 11.

Fall School Pictures are on Thursday, September 17th. These pictures will be a PRE-PAY for the packets. You can also go online to order the pictures at strawbridge.net for the Fall session.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser
Thank you to all of you who are helping raise funds for our school through our Cookie Dough Fundraiser. Please make sure your child’s name and teacher’s name is on the envelope and order form. All money and order forms are due on Thursday, September 10. Thanks!
Riverbanks Zoo Field Study
We are headed to the Zoo! We will take our first 3rd Grade Field Study to the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. We will be focusing on animals and habitats to kick off our first unit in science. We will even get to have a picnic lunch at the zoo! Please sign and return your child’s permission slip and money as soon as possible. We are looking forward to this educational event!

Water Bottles - We love it when your child wants to drink water to hydrate their brain. If your child would like to bring a water bottle, please send a bottle with a spout that pulls up and pushes down. Attendance- September is Attendance Awareness Month.
