We are using the Blended Workshop model for this unit. Students are learning at their pace, blending technology with instruction. They will also get meaningful small group instruction, at their level, with the teacher.

A parent letter and packet are in your child’s math folder. This folder will go home and come back each day. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Students will start taking timed multiplication tests on facts 0-10. We recommend making flash cards and using different online resources to practice, practice, practice!

Important Dates for Third Grade!

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17- 6:00-7:00PM:  Merry Math Night
Third grade families are invited to school for an evening of holiday-themed, math-aligned activities and games.  Free hot chocolate will be served. We are also planning to have a yummy bake sale. Please bring your loose change and enjoy some special treats. All proceeds go towards our third grade field studies and classroom supplies.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18- 3rd Grade Town Hall and Winter Breakfast Celebration
Parents are invited to join us for our December Grade Level Town Hall Meeting and Winter Breakfast to celebrate all of our learning in 2015!  Please use the permission form to select the item you will bring and return ASAP. (These came home in folders last week.) If we do not receive a signed permission form for your child, your child will not be able to participate in our breakfast celebration.
